I’m So Done With This World

A young woman is deliberately pushed in front of a train. Germany remains silent.

Another young woman is stabbed to death on a train. The world remains silent.

A husband and father is shot simply for voicing his convictions. The media brand him a “right-wing Trump supporter,” and waves of hateful comments mock this “criminal” who dared to stand up for conservative values.

Conservatives are cast as the villains.

Liberals are hailed as the norm.

Pro-lifers are condemned as the villains.

Abortions are celebrated as the norm.

Those who affirm that humanity is created male and female are denounced as the villains.

Those who redefine gender according to their feelings are embraced as the norm.

Marriages between a man and a woman are dismissed as outdated.

Same-sex relationships are promoted as the norm.

Women who long to stay at home with their children, caring for their families, are accused of being “oppressed by their husbands.”

Women who prioritize career over family are praised as “living in freedom.”

Mothers who delight in their children and see it as a privilege and sacred calling to raise them are told they are “wasting their time and talents.”

Mothers who complain about their kids and dream of finally seeing “the light at the end of the tunnel”—a.k.a. “me-time” or “getting back to work”—are upheld as the norm.

I’m so done with this world.

But God is not.

In His mercy, He has not yet brought this brokenness to an end. Instead, He patiently gives time for people to awaken, to repent, and to turn back to Him.

And in the midst of this darkness, we are called to lift up His light. To boldly stand for the Gospel, for biblical truth—even when it means swimming against the current and facing hatred. We should not expect to be celebrated by a world that once nailed our God to a cross.

It is an honor to live for His Kingdom—for a King who gave everything for us because He loves us beyond measure, though we do not deserve it. A King who conquered even death itself.

And yes, there WILL be a happy ending.

“In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
