JESUS – the Vine

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

In the book Joni and Ken: An Untold Love Story by Ken Tada and Joni Eareckson-Tada, I came across the following quote:

Jesus never said, “I am the charging cable, and you are the iPhone.” He said, “I am the vine, and you are the branches.”

Just as branches must remain attached to the vine to thrive and grow, we, as Christians, need to maintain a close connection with God on a daily basis. When we stay linked to Him, we can confidently reach our ultimate destination, even when storms rage around us.
