As a family, we went through deep suffering. I know what it means to desperately cry your eyes out. I know how it feels to be broken and anxious. But God has gifted us with so much grace and healing. We still have each other.
However, one day, and we don’t know how much time we have left, we won’t have “us” anymore… This is my greatest fear.
When I shared my anxious heart with Leon the other night, He reminded me of something important: F O C U S .
Yes, life is incomputable. Life is finite. Life can be tough. But: We can’t change anything by worrying about it.
Jesus says: “And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?“Matthew 6:27
We simply can’t. So why focus on what we can’t control? Trust in the one who does, and happily embrace what He has given you for today.
Don’t focus on what you could lose, on how much suffering you and your loved ones might experience someday, but thank God for all the blessings He is providing for you now, and enjoy them!
