Emotions

Emotions. Society puts them above everything else:

“Follow your heart.”

“I don’t feel love for my spouse anymore. I should get a divorce!”

“I feel like this is the right decision…I just feel it.“

But when our emotions disagree with the Bible, and we even try to justify our sinful actions (”It just felt right”), our emotions are lying to us. I don’t want to be led by a liar.

The father of lies destroys and kills (John 8:44; 10:10). The truth gives life. Eternal life. And that’s Jesus. I want Him to lead me – and my emotions! How about you? Who’s sitting in the driver’s seat of your life?
