You say: “It’s impossible.” God says: “All things are possible.”

Have you ever prayed for something for a very long time and it seemed like nothing’s ever going to happen? On one hand you knew that God was able to do everything but on the other hand you felt stuck in your situation. You couldn’t even imagine how your life would look like if God would answer your prayers. A change in your circumstances seemed impossible to you. You were caught in chains.

Sometimes God doesn’t change our circumstances but our perspective. We learn to see things differently. Instead of exploring the threatening waves around us, we need to turn our eyes upon Jesus. God uses challenges in our lives to change our hearts.

But He also knows how to end the storm. He is able to do the impossible. Sometimes we need to wait for a while such as Joseph. He was in prison although he wasn’t guilty at all. But he was patient and he trusted in God. One day the pharao wanted him to interpret his dream (Genesis 41), and suddenly God changed Joseph’s cirumstances. He turned from prisoner to the chancellor of Egypt.

Just because we can’t see a change immediately doesn’t mean that God isn’t working in our lives. Just because He hasn’t answered your prayers yet doesn’t mean that He won’t in the future. Don’t you think that He can do the same with you as he did with Joseph? You probably won’t become the chancellor of Egypt but just think of what you’ve been praying for since weeks, months or even years. Remember the chains, the prison you’re in right now. It’s impossible for you to become free. But what is impossible with man is possible with God. (Luke 18:27)

The waves around you might be big, but our God is much bigger! If He speaks, the storm has to calm.

God bless,
Joy
